Welcome to Bennington, Kansas, for the 38th annual Bennington PRCA Rodeo sponsored by the Bennington Lions Club, Inc. Once again, we have the opportunity to greet old friends and make new acquaintances at this year’s Bennington PRCA Rodeo. Today, the Rodeo attracts some 350-rodeo contestants from the surrounding states to compete for approximately $40,000.00 in prize money and awards.
The Rodeo has served as the Bennington Lions Club, Inc.’s primary fund raising project and it has enabled the Lions Club to sponsor many youth activities in Bennington and the surrounding area.
The Lions Club recognizes that without the support of the rodeo fans that have purchased tickets, the area businesses that advertise in this program, and the many businesses that sponsor the added money to attract the top rodeo contestants, music shows and specialty acts to Bennington, that the Rodeo would not be the success that it is.
The Bennington Lions Club, Inc. members, along with other volunteers from the community, donate many hours of their time and everyone works without pay in order to contribute to the success of the Rodeo. The Bennington PRCA Rodeo is an example of what can be accomplished when a small community works together for a common goal.

RODEO SPECIALTY ACT
Bennington Rodeo 2013 will feature classic western family entertainment from the Jerry Olson Specialty Acts! Jerry Olson brings with him two horses, a palomino quarter horse named Justin Boots and a miniature horse called Lickity Split. “Everyone loves Lickity Split,” Judy Olson said. Justin Boots will do different maneuvers through voice and hand commands by Jerry Olson, all without the aid of a bridle or saddle. The horse even jumps into the back of a moving truck, driven by Judy Olson! Come to the show and be amazed and delighted!
MUSICAL ACT
Aaron Wood Band. Aaron’s vocals speak of true life, love, and everything in between. Reddirtreport.com recently dubbed AWB as the next solid band to rise from the streets of Stillwater Oklahoma. Recently signed with EJP Entertainment Agency, AWB is reaching out and bringing their original sound across more state lines. The guys have been road tested and shown time after time they can stand with them all.
